Be ready to wait for fresh seafood!

What is it about serving really fresh seafood alongside locally grown and properly cooked ingredients that south county restaurants do not understand? This is the place that finally breaks that mold. It's VERY laid back (no ties, high heels, or trendy outfits here please) and the food is just plain good. A fresh raw bar includes oysters from the owner's oyster farm and other local fav's. There are also clams, mussels, shrimp, calamari, fluke, lobster, haddock, flounder, swordfish, salmon and more. All served with simple sides and very fresh veggies. A full bar always helps when the wait is long and it can be LONG. It's worth it. If you get flustered by waiting and if you think you can move ahead by "being someone" this may not be the place for you. Everyone is someone. The waitstaff has improved tremendously since it first opened and every time I go they have it a bit more together. A few of my regular repeats include the fresh oyster sampler, the oyster po'boy, and the arugula salad with shrimp. The outside deck is on Potter's Pond and the perfect place to witness a south county sunset. A few outdoor heaters would improve the outside wait or dining experience. The inside is quite casual and the bar (more of the raw bar prep area) can get cramped.
