This is not social distancing six feet apart. And some of the customers don't have mask on the face.

We moved to the area earlier this summer. I asked people I met...Where is there a good butcher? Someone mentioned Nicks Meats. When I entered the store I was actually impressed with the old school atmosphere. The lady who waited on me at the meat counter was very pleasant.
However...I had specifically asked for a recommendation for there best grind for grill burgers and what I got was worse than what you would get at a supermarket. I also got some ground sausage that was the worst I've ever eaten. I mean BAD!
I did try 3 different kinds of their link sausage. I would not make a special trip for more of these but they were ok.
I thought I would try these simple meats before I bought any of their select cuts.
Well...I will not be heading back to Nicks Meats for Anything.

Poor customer service. After picking out some meat, I decided to do some one stop shopping and spent close to $100 on groceries. Unfortunately, I picked up the wrong brand of beverage. The next day I asked the manager, if I could make the exchange and he refused. His demeanor was offensive and lacked the etiquette needed to address customer relations. The owner and management do not appreciate having a loyal customer. The lesson here is to avoid shopping there. Clearly, their "no exchange and no refund policy" has no condideration for customer satisfaction. Beware!

I used to be a regular until I overheard a deli employee make fun of a man for his weight (she had no right to talk) and other girls were laughing with her. I refuse to shop where the employees enjoy making fun of customers. That is not ok in my book and I will not be shopping here any longer.

I agree. Although the food is fresh and there are good prices, their customer service is the pits. Noone ever smiles and they all have this "why are you bothering me" attitude except from time to time at the meat counter where I have encountered some butchers happy to serve you. Their cashiers are the worst.

My husband grew up in Waldorf and has been a lifelong customer of Nicks. We now live in Springfield, VA, approximately 30-35 miles from Nicks but will travel several times a year to go to Nicks. Well, after tonight, no more. We had seen the Nicks ad online saying that Filet Mignon's were $3.99/lb. We drove the hour to buy 2 filet's for ourselves and knowing how much we have raved about Nick's in the past, our neighbor asked if we would get her one. For the first time, when we got to the meat counter, the sign on the Filets indicated that there was a limit of 2. I figured we would still be able to buy the 3 that we wanted, my husband would purchase our two and I would purchase the one that my neighbor had asked us to get. Well, we were told that "since we came in together we can't sell you any more than 2". I tried to explain that we had driven an hour (in the rain and rush hour traffic) to get the meat, but they refused to budge. I also explained that I have purchased more than 2 on several occasions in the past and it has never been a problem. Told me that I was "splitting hairs" and if I wanted to call on Saturday evening if they had any remaining, they would honor the price on my next trip. So, if you are going to Nicks....make certain that you speak to no one while you are in the store or they will consider you the same customer. The lack of customer service skills will sink Nicks business....they have certainly lost mine...forever.
