HORRIBLE Payless. I went in to pick up a pair of shoes and a bag on my lunch break, and after swiping my debit card and it clearly processing, their whole system froze and crashed. The cashier guaranteed me the purchase didn't go through. So I get back to work and check my online banking and they did in fact charge me. I called, and went back to the store for the worker to call customer service and have them say I will get my money back in 3-9 days. I, myself, called the number on the back of my debit card, which was helpful. The man told me this could be easily fixed if the merchant services removes the authorization for my pending purchase - Which I never even received. I proceeded to call Payless' customer care for a rude employee to tell me, "We don't do that. You must wait 3-9 days." It's been 3 days that I been down $50.00, no shoes, no bag - And now my money is not only "pending" in my account - it's been "posted." I will be going in demanding my money this afternoon. Normal retailers would refund the money right away. Basically they felt it is okay - because their system failed, I can be out of my money for up to 9 days. Not okay. Such bad service.
