With regard to the post from "Bill K' below, a brief response from the owner of Quail Run Retirement --

While we are very sorry to acknowledge the death of Bill K’s father, we must take exception to certain characterizations of the events that took place before and after.

A serious legal dispute developed between our resident’s two sons, Bill K. and his younger sibling. During an event at our community, a physical altercation between the brothers led to police involvement and eventually, a Court Order, initiated by a court-mandated guardian, forbidding Bill K. to come on our property. This was later modified so that he could visit his Father in the company of a court-appointed guardian and he did in fact avail himself of this opportunity on at least two occasions.

Payment of rent to our community never, at any time, came directly to us from Social Security or any other government agency. Rent was paid on our resident’s behalf by personal check, first from Bill K, then from his brother, and ultimately from the court-appointed guardianship.

The resident in question was a cherished member of our community who was afforded every consideration during his long period of residence. His sons were infrequent visitors, though always welcome until their personal relationship deteriorated to the point of the physical altercation and police intervention referred to above. Even then, the younger son was physically present in his Father’s life as he assisted him through the process of obtaining the aforementioned legal guardianship, something that was undertaken to prevent any other individual from removing the resident against his will. He, the resident, had clearly stated to the police that he did not wish to leave Quail Run Retirement in order to go to Tennessee with his elder son, Bill K.

We are very sorry that Bill K. chooses to leave this negative impression with visitors to this site. Much more could be said. However, and above all else, the welfare and well-being of our residents is, and always has been uppermost in all we do.

Avoid them at all cost! I had my dad here for four years and after several reports that he had fallen in the bathtub an lay there unattended for an hour or more, I gave proper noticed to them and paid dads account. When I arrived to get dad, Ron Tilley (owner) informed me my brother was going to strip the POA from me and Ron was going to get dad SS checks coming directly to Quail Run. Which they did. My dad had

dementia, diagnosed as incompetent and atrial fibrillations .Dad fell again on 12/20/2013 and died. Had he been in my home where we had planned for him to be, he would have had somebody around him all the time like he needed. But he wasn't because of intervention. When I contacted Ron two days after dads death about cleaning out dads room, he threatened to have me arrested if I stepped foot on his property. He now is attempting to charge rent on dads room because it has not been cleaned. I am the executor of dads will/estate... You draw your own conclusions.....
