I've been frequenting this establishment since the late 70's, and have always been impressed with the cleanliness of the store, the friendliness of the family that owns and runs it, and the quality of the meat, deli, and grocery selections. They pay a fee to process debit/credit cards, so the minimum purchase required is pretty standard. Perhaps the previous reviewer could carry a ten spot and avoid being so riled by this reasonable policy. As to the mistake in change given, could happen to anyone. I'm sure it was corrected immediately. I know the prices are higher than the BIG stores around, but it's worth it to me when I just need a few things and want them quickly. Great wine selection, too.

Great neighborhood family-owned market. Owner, for tons of years, and son really care about pleasing their cutomers. High quality competitive priced meats, excellent gourmet baked desserts, great weekly sales on staples, and a very good deli dept. Fine produce. Penny Lake Market now a Spartan store, so buying power allows these great competitive prices. Penny Lake is worth the stop, you won't leave empty handed. Spring time now, beautiful well-priced flowers, pots, veggie plants in their parking lot. Plus employees willing to please and very knowledgeable.

This market is great! USDA choice meats and a wide variety of produce. They have a deli and bakery section that has many selections. I have been there twice and just love it. The employees are very nice and helpful. Looking forward to their ad coming out in March!

This grocery store stinks. The only store available since Farmer Jack closed down unless I want to drive all the way across town to kroger or go in a gigantic store like Walmart or Meijer. Meat is brown in the center...moldy cheese, outdated food and very high priced. I am tired of paying so much for such little quality. When you complain about something they don't take care of you.
