In regards to cosmetic/functional rhinoplasty, my experience was extremely poor. I am left with some cosmetic issues but more importantly, breathing issues have appeared now that swelling has subsided. I am left with a collapsing nose that impairs breathing on both sides. I have trouble sleeping at night due to this, as well as the devastation of having a worse aesthetic appearance to my nose than what I started with. Horribly disappointing, and most likely avoidable had I chosen a rhinoplasty specialist. He naRrowed in my nasal bone so far in on one side that the whole side of my nose now collapses in each time I inhale. Combine that with my other nostril that had a minor collapse that he not only did not fix, but made worse by overly narrowing that side, and I now have major problems with breathing (confirmed by other surgeons and an ENT). This obviously impacts the look of my nose which is now pinched, twisted, and I was left with the bump I had gone in with (oh, the irony!) and with the sides being so caved in, it appears even bigger than before, and so hollow looking on the sides. I am seriously disgusted with this doctor and his very poor bedside manner which included him saying fixing my nose would not be worth it (of course not to him, if he can't steal more of my money). How utterly sickening.
