Walpole Times

I have written several letters to "The Walpole Times" criticising aspects of town government. In my opinion, "The Walpole Times" is little more than a mouthpiece for the largely nepotistic town government.



I posted a comment in the newapaper's comment section complaining that "The Walpole Times" expunges letters such as mine (I have had friends who have also had their letters ignored by "The Walpole Times).



The next morning, I received an e-mail, complete with poor grammar and profanity from the Times' editor, Brian DeCesare. I responded back that I am not only a taxpayer in the Town of Walpole, but that I am also a college graduate and am a close friend of an executive editor at CNN's New York Bureau and did not appreciate either the atrocious grammar or foul language used in his e-mail.



He wrote back and said "I don't know what your talking about! Elaborate!" That is correct, he used "your" instead of "you're" as an abbreviation for you are.



Mr. DeCesare does not even live in Walpole. He commutes from Cranston, RI, 30 miles away, so I don't know why he has a vested interest in defending "my town (Walpole), right or wrong."



I am forwarning anybody even thinking of writing to Brian DeCesare to be prepared for a sophomoric, grammatically incorrect, and profanity laden response.



I normally do not wish to defame another's character, but Brian DeCesare is a disgrace to the journalistic community!
