The Museum of Friends is the first Counter Culture Museum in the U.S. founded and run by artists. It is comprised of art given to each of the co-founders as gifts from fellow artists. The first floor is accessible on Main Street and 6th and features changing exhibitions, a museum gift shop full of locally made goods "Made in Walsenburg" and workshop areas. The 2nd floor accessible via elevator contains over 1600 works of art created by contemporary artists. On the 2nd floor is the Hawaiian Collection, Artist in Residence, and resource library.
