I have eaten there twice and had second thoughts afterwards both times. The first time I had tacos and chile rellanos and refried beans. The tacos were marginal and the chile rellanos were terrible. They use a very large chile (pepper) and stuff it only with cheese. The chile was tough and stringy and the cheese had virtually no flavor. The beans were the only thing that even came close to comparing with other Mexican cusine restaurants. I picked up a menu on my way out just for the heck of it. The second time I tried it was because they are the only Mexican restaurant in the area which have beef flautas on the menu. I got this order to go with rice, beans, guacamole salad, and yes, another chile rellano just to see if the first time was just a bad night for them. I'm glad I did get the rice, beans, and salad or I would have went hungry that evening. The flauta was not very good. It was full length (regular burrito size tortilla) and only had meat in the center 1/3. There was about 1/3 on each end with little to nothing in it. The chile rellano was exactly like the first time. Needless to say I will not be going back. There are too many good mexican restaurants close by to waste time here. I have never gotten anything I didn't like at El Jalisciense, El Cojito, El Tapatio, or even Taco Bell. If O only had the choice between there and Taco Bell I would go to the Bell.
