Provided by YP.comAs a customer I have been using Central Transport for a couple years now. Their rates are competitive and the delivery time is not bad as well. Their rates definitely make up for the timing of the shipment. Also, if I ever any issues i am able to speak to someone to try and get my issue resolved. Overall, i would recommend Central Transport to others.

Provided by YP.comCompany was very helpful with shipping my product. Agents were able to assist me in getting my product shipped as soon as possible. Driver was friendly when he came to pick up the product. Will use Central Transport again!

Provided by YP.comIf I could give ZERO stars as a rating, I would!! Terrible customer service, inconsistent answers, can't figure out payments they accept, never will use and will speak out. Have been waiting for an order since NOV 23rd and it is Dec 4....still no shipment.....been told several times it will be there today. Awful company and was only given first names for managers to speak with. Very unprofessional!!

Provided by YP.comOn October 29, 2013 my company placed a BOL for an automotive transmission that was to be shipped to San Marcos, Ca via Central Transport.First off it took Central Transport 3 days to come to our location and pick up the shipment.
It wasn't too long after that, we determined that the shipment had been lost. Someone somewhere along the line did NOT scan the shipment. Many, many phone calls were made to track this shipment down with no results. The customer service from this "company" is less than average, I might add.
Eventually we had the company do a search of all their docks to see if a 222 pound transmission on a pallet could be located. I guess it just vanished into thin air, because no one at this company could locate it. After I lost the sale with our customer and the money I had paid for shipping the item, we filed a complaint. All the proper paperwork was filed with the company.
I'd like everyone to know that this company will not assume responsibility or offer a refund of any sort. I finally got a response saying that my claim was denied, Central Transport shipped the item, but because this was a used transmission they will only pay $.10 a pound which would come to $22.10, BUT the administrative costs for writing that check would cost more than $22.10, so Central Transport will not be paying any amount for this claim. This Company gladly took my money for the shipment, picked up the pallet and promptly lost the pallet. The value of the item lost including shipping charges is $600.
My company has lost a customer, inventory, money and time wasted. Be aware that Central Transport will not stand behind their service.
Apparently they feel losing a 222 pound pallet worth $600 is just not worthy of even returning the money I paid for shipping.I will NEVER use this farce of a shipping company again, nor will I have anything remotely positive to tell other people in this industry looking for a shipper. 161544a

Provided by YP.comI shipped out a transmission to a customer who needed it for his mustang. This item was in great shape until it got shipped. The company ran a forklift thru the side of the transmission and then tried to deliver it to my customer. The customer refused the shipment and then notified me of what happened. I filed for damaged item with the company sent them all the invoices and pictures. A few days later I got two things in the mail from the company. One states they are investigating the possibility of damage the other stating they damaged the item but it is only worth $20.00 due to it being used and it would cost to much to send me the $20.00 so they will not pay for it. The company still has my item now I am out shipping cost as well as what I would have got for the item, and my reputation with that customer has been damaged.
