Provided by YP.comI had numerous errors and indecisiveness on a purchase and the supervisor Gary at 14 Mile store did the most wonderful job in helping me with making it right. He had great attitude, personality and most comforting way of making me feel better of my choices. He accommodated me above and beyond to with my experience with GW. He is valuable to the company and holds his position as Supervisor well. I thank him very much for his professionalism and compassion toward me as a customer. Thank You Gary!

Provided by YP.comI bought sectional on thanks giving. They gave defective piece and giving world's poorest services. Never buy from this store. Sales people are lair, wont even talk after product sold, pathetic & arrogant customer service. Yes they are expert in one thing .. make you mad & frustrated !! call me and know my personal experience

Provided by YPmobileI would not even rate them 1 star! Terrible customer service and very misleading. The sales reps will tell you anything to make a sell and withhold the information you need to know. Return policy is awful and they do not make it right for their customers. I will never shop here again and will make sure my awful experience here is very known.

Provided by YPmobileThe customer service is so bad that you would be a fool to shop here so don't waste your time or money. It's obvious that this family & company is only concerned with its cash flow & not the people who shop here I should have known when I looked at the interior & condition of the place that we were going to have problems. I shopped at Art Van & didn't have to deal with any of the s%#t & everything thy say about this company is true. I tried to give them a chance & they screwed me also, just avoid them at all cost if you value your sanity. One dining room set turned into a nightmare.

Provided by YP.comI was talked into buying the fabric protection by my salesperson because she said it would cover if my dog tore the fabric... Low and behold, my dog tore the fabric. I then called Gardner White and they told me that the damage was not covered. At no point had I been given any literature on the fabric protection, I only had my salesperon's word to go off of and why would I assume that she's lying? I had spoken with my salesperson, a manager, and a corporate man named Jeff Ballard. He told me whatever my salesperson had said was hearsay and does not matter. I've never dealt with such a dishonest company before and I would warn all others to stay away from these crooks.

Provided by YP.comI had a bad experience when I placed an order online, received a confirmation email and receipt. Five days later when I asked what was happening with my order, they said they cancelled the order because the advertised price was a glitch (i.e they put the price of another item on the item that I ordered). They refused to deliver the product and told me they were within their rights to have false advertising because of a disclaimer in the terms of use on their website.

Provided by YP.comI'm so happy that I found this forum to voice my disgust and displeasure with Gardiner-White Furniture. I shopped at the Macomb Township location on Hall Rd and Schoenherr. My shopping experience was okay...but then again, the sales people are always nice before you actually make a decision to buy.
Of course, they tried the old tactic of keeping me in the store and pressuring me into making a purchase right then and there. They also tag-teamed me with multiple sales people. So when my wife and I finally saw through all the BS about "free" televisions and "free" game consoles and "free" crap...we made a decision to purchase the furniture.
The salesman offered 15 months "no payments and no interest". We sat around FOREVER to make the purchase. Then they charged $65 for delivery and couldn't give a time that they would make the delivery. All of a sudden, I was just another sucker who spent my money in their store.
So the furniture gets delivered and everything is fine. However, imagine my surprise when I start getting phone calls from a debt collector telling me that I'm late on my payment. I made TWO trips to the store and countless emails to their corporate office to tell them of the mix up. BOTTOM LINE...Touch $hit!!! You signed the contract and it doesn't matter what the salesman told you. That is why they keep you there waiting for such a long time. So by the time they bring the purchase contract to you...you are so freaking tired of waiting that you trust the salesman and just sign the contract.
Deceptive! Coniving! Cheating! Un-Ethical! Un-Caring! Arrogant!
Those are a few of the words I would use to describe Gardiner White Furniture. I have made it my mission to tell everyone that I know about my ordeal. I know of at least one friend of mine who was about to purchase a bedroom set from them and changed her mind after hearing of my poor treatment. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!

Provided by YP.comWe were keeping a watch on a sofa and were waiting for it to go on sale. we ere going to use one of those 25% off coupons. We went back to the store and saw the price of the set was up so it ends up being the same price it was when you take off the 25%. the clerk said the store manger was in and we could talk to him but he was no where to be found! We had enough and went down the street to buy our furniture. will not return to this store!

The salesman was rude and didn't know anything about the furniture (fabric type, construction, manufacturer, price) We asked to speak to the store manager to get our questions answered and he wouldn't even come out to talk to us. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE - DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!!
