The woods church would not accept my 6 year old special needs son ...

We went to this church because we thought it was an all accepted church. We were not allowed to leave our son with the other kids in his age group. They required that my wife or myself had to stay with him in the Sunday school class. We are not looking for a babysitting service. We wanted to worship together. The first question we were asked when we arrived was 'who is going to stay with Charlie' My son was made to feel like a outcast because he was different. If that's not religious irony, not sure what is. He has the sweetest soul. Ripped my heart out.

The Woods Church has 2 locations. 1 in Warren and the other in Chesterfield, Michigan. If you are looking for a church that Loves GOD, Loves People and Serves our World, then you might consider The Woods. Nothing funny going on at The Woods. Everything is Scriptural / Biblically based. No New Age stuff going on~ The Woods offers 3 Services on Sunday mornings. 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. are Contemporary Worship and a 10:00 a.m. Traditional Worship is also offered in the Chapel (Hymnals etc). Most Sunday's, all three services hear the same message. The church offer's Ministries / Support Groups etc. for all ages where we fellowship and learn more about GOD and what he wants for our lives as well.
