horrible customer service

Here's how our experience with invisamax has gone: We recently moved out to the Thompson area in May. I did a lot of searching to find an internet provider that doesn't have their service on a data plan scale and found invisamax. Sounded prefect! No data plans, no contact, and they could come and install within a week! No brainer, right? Here is where everything goes bad... Our week turned into 4 then 5 then on the 6th week they send someone out. He came and stayed maybe 15 mins just to tell us, "Yep, I've been out here before. You'll have to put in this pole, dig a tench from the pole to your garage and then a trench from the garage to your house. Call us when that's done and will come and install." We were not too happy. If they had already been to our place why didn't they tell us so we could have had this fine while we were waiting? Whatever, we rented a back how, dug the trench, and have them a call. Waited a week. The fit gets out here and asks if we could go diaganolly instead. My husband explains why we couldn't and asks why. The installer says it would use less cable and be cheaper, plus he doesn't have enough below ground cable. My husband asks how much is cable (since their website only said $115 installation fee). For 350 foot roll it will be $250. Shocked, but has no choice towards the end he asks us where are our modems. Ah well we don't have internet so we don't have any modems. The guy yells us to run into town and get them from best buy, they'll be cheaper. There is an extra $200. Our total installation fee was $450 plus $200 for modems and missing 6 hours of work. We will not even include the rental fee and the lumber cost for a pole. We had the internet for a week and it stopped working. Called in and tried to trouble shoot and just as they were going to call a technician it started working. Dodged a bullet. Until this week, it happened again. Did the same trouble shooting, plugged the Ethernet cable directly into the computer still nothing (can't blame best buy's modem!). They will have to call the manager to see if they should send someone out on Monday. The only thing it could be is bad cable running from the dish to our modem. If that's the case we'll be charged $60 for came and $100 for labor costs (reminder: the original tech used above ground cable from our dish to the garage because he didn't have enough before ground cable). I was shocked. We haven't had the service for a month! TONS of hidden fees and you pay for them to come fix their mistakes. The only good customer service we've had was the offered to except installments since our installation was so much. And Cassie has been nice when I've talked to her over the phone. We were previous Midco customers and it wouldn't be fair to Midco to put them in the same boat as Invisamax. Less to be desired from this company who seems to be out to get as much money from their customers as possible. I'm soaring for the day I have internet options, since I'm wilting this review using my cell phone data plan for the past 3 days anyway. Try, try, try to find a different company to work with if you can. It could save you upwards to $800 if you do. Good luck.
