The Lordstown Police Department preserves human lives and property, protects public peace and the rights of citizens, prevents crime and disorder, and enforces local, state and federal laws. It supports Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.), which is an international education program that seeks to prevent the usage of illegal drugs, gang activities and violent behavior. The department has a detectives division that investigates crime scenes, seizes and analyzes evidence, identifies and speaks to witnesses and victims of crime, recovers stolen property, and identifies and arrests offenders. It also conducts and supports a variety of crime prevention educational programs and awareness seminars. The Lordstown Police Department has been operational for more than 30 years.
