Provided by YPmobileHad my mower in for a replacement cable and tune up. Was told it could take two days or two weeks. I called after two weeks, not to give them any trouble but to get a status update. I was told they didn't have my ticket in a folder so it must be with one of they guys being work led on right now. I was told they would call me when it was done. A week later I called again and was directly and rudely told that if they haven't called me then it is not done. I shouldn't be calling them if they haven't called me. About a week after that I found their business card in my mailbox. They tried to deliver my mower but I wasn't home. When I called them, they said they couldn't find my phone number and wanted to drop off the mower. I made arrangements to stay home.feom work so they could drop it off, 'right after lunch'. I called again around 430 that day and he told me that he still hadn't eaten lunch...
I had to ask what the bill was since no one contacted me about anything and found it to be about 50 bucks more than I expected. I didn't complain too strongly because I just wanted it back. He delivered it around 500 that evening and I handed over the check. The mower was on a trailer so I climbed up to get it but it wouldn't start. Blew black smoke and battery died right away. He said he would take it back and look at it and bring it back me that evening. I had to run an errand and since I had been waiting around for hours I told him to just leave it in the driveway. When I got back an hour or two later it was there. I turned the key and it belched black smoke, backfired and the battery died quickly as before. At that point I cancelled payment on the check and called them to come get it. The next day I called to see when it would be delivered the the third time. Rob insinuated that I should have just put in fresh gas and charged the battery. I was livid but he couldn't have cared less. I had planned to talk with him and give feedback on my experience but his rude behavior changed my mind. Feedback is gift. I don't wish to give him anything. The third time was a charm and the mower actaully worked. When I took a new check to his shop he handed me the old one and just stared at me. No offer of apology..just arrogance. Many local merchants know me by name because I go out of my way to support local family run small businesses but this first experience with Rob's will be my last.
