Provided by YP.comWe recently had a heat pump installed by Mccrea. We were pleased with the knowledge and helpfullness of the sales staff. The installers were easy to work with and thorough. We've been using the pump for a few weeks and have had no problems.

Provided by YP.comMy HVAC unit recently crashed and with the humidity I just couldn't stand it any more. I was horrified when I thought about how much the actual investment would be to replace the unit, and then thinking that the contractor would probably show up late or even worse be scheduled three weeks out. Well, much to my surprise that was not the case. After talking with other HVAC companies I found McCrea Heating & Air Conditioning to be the most professional, courteous, and reasonably priced company around. I called the office, set up an appointment and within a couple of days I had a new unit. The servicemen that showed up to do the installation were on time, professional, courteous, and efficient. I even received12-month financing with a 0% interest! What a deal! If you are debating or weather or not to use McCrea, have no fear....they are top notch!. I highly recommend McCrea and will never use anyone else!

Provided by YP.comI have debated long and hard on whether or not to write this review. I had McCrea replace my heat pump and continued to contract with them for yearly service. I cancelled McCrea and decided to purchase whole-house insurance on my appliances thru CitiBank Mortgage Co. When the pump stop working, Citibank insurance refused to honor their service agreement due to their assessment that McCrea had not maintained my pump properly over the 5 years + period that I had McCrea's service contract. It costed me over $400 to get the pump fixed. I can't recommend them. I have switched my service contract to BGE. So far, so good!

Provided by YP.comWe had a furnace and AC installed by McCrae just over a year ago. There were some problems with the installation and after some effort and talking to management, the problems were fixed. There was water dripping on the floor last winter and I thought it was the Humidifier. I purchased overhaul components for the humidifier and replaced everything but the outside shell. Still dripping this winter. After research with paper towels and tape, I found the leak was in the furnace exhaust where McCrea had spliced the new exhaust to the one from the old furnace. It is a condensate unit, so water comes out the exhaust, which is coming into my house. Repeated to McCrea has gotten no response, except one offer from a lady who wants to charge for a service call. I have a potentially dangerous situation here and I don't know who to call.

Provided by YP.comI bought a brand new condo five years ago and McCrea installed the AC's for our community. I understand that warranty runs out on products, esp after five years. My complaint is that it was never put in correctly. Came to find out recently that my electricity was powering my neighbors AC and vice versa. I called them to see if they would fix it to save face, keep a good name, not make themselves look incompetent. I was put on hold, transferred, told they'd call back after checking with the manager etc. Nothing. I also found out through others in the community that we're not the only ones. A shame no one is held accountable any more.
Mccrea is not responsible for providing or hooking up power to the units in new construction. This situation should have been addressed with the builder, who contracts an electrician to wire the home. Mccrea does stand by the work we do and will respond appropriately to any situation. As for being put on hold, we have recently updated our phone system to help limit wait times due to the tremendous growth in contract customers.

Provided by YP.comI have called McCrea on 4 separate occasions to try to set up a service call. EVERY TIME I am transferred a minimum of 3 times and put on hold for a minimum of 5 minutes (total). I don't understand how anyone has the patience to sit through these transfers and wait time to actually schedule an appointment! I don't see how they can provide good HVAC service if they cannot provide good phone service.

The office personnel and the salesman were very professional and knowledgeable.. The crew showed up and did a great job. I couldn't have been happier. I have recommended them to friends and family.
