I have been buying appliances from Tolson's for years. Because I live in the country, they are one of the few stores that will even deliver to my house, even though big chain stores will deliver to areas just a mile or two past me! No matter- Tolson's has always come thru with good deals and good service AND delivery and installation! They are a "small town" friendly business, and that's not easy to find anymore!

Their website talks a lot about ..."get the Tolsons experience...". Boy, did I ever! Paid $45 up-front shop fee to have them troubleshoot an a/c unit for non-cooling issue. RESULT: They sat on the unit for 2 full weeks while my email and phone inquiries for status on the work went unanswered. Did not respect my time and didn't have the basic courtesy to keep me apprised of delays. ACTION: Exasperated, I finally gave up and realized they were never going to inspect the unit and picked up (with a $45 refund, of course). FINDINGS: (1) No apology from service manager for 2-weeks of inconvenience and complete lack of action in scheduling work. No desire to right the situation. (2) Employed 2 HVAC techs - insufficient given searing triple-digit temps and flood of refrigeration calls. Also, helps when 1 of the 2 techs on staff isn't cut loose on vacation! (3) No desire to perform the work because it apparently wasn't profitable to do so. Would have appreciated this candor up-front!
