Provided by YP.comWe signed a contract with the carpenter who owns Chet & Sons of Warrington, PA in fall of 2010. The job was for rebuilding a sunporch, extending sidewalk around the porch, removing an air conditioner from an exterior wall and filling in the wall space. It also included replacing a front-of-the-house bedroom window and replacing 3 exterior doors. The weather turned cold before the carpenter processed the required township permits. It was too cold to pour cement, so the job was postponed until early spring of 2011. The date given for completion was April 30, which would have been very satisfactory since my elderly parents were moving in with us in May. To his credit, the carpenter is very skilled and is able to accomplish as much in 4 hours as most can in 8. HOWEVER, that is, WHEN he shows up. Time and time and time again, he says he is coming. He will tell us he is coming that very morning and NEVER show! We are always considerate of workers at our home. We make sure they have everything they need to work. We move our cars out of the driveway. We often stay home to accommodate their needs. This carpenter never spent more than 4 hours at a time working at our house, and that was about once every 3 weeks. Thank goodness I was able to convince him to replace the front window that is part of my parents' living area. He kept telling me it would get done, but waited until the last week before they moved in! He did make the porch weather-tight for the winter, put in the sidewalk, and almost finished the interior. He shows no sign of having looked at the original "work order" (contract) since the night it was signed. A year after the contract was signed, it is now another winter and the temps are too cold to polyurethane the interior, especially since he never installed the heating/AC unit we PAID FOR A YEAR AGO. Once, when we got excited because we saw him twice in one week, we gave him money to order the 3 exterior doors. We never heard about those doors again. About once every 2 weeks he promises to come "FINISH" but never comes. Many months ago, when my husband asked him when he was going to come and finish the project, he replied, "I'm not a guy who comes to finish up." We gave him the benefit of the doubt and thought maybe he meant he doesn't want to do a "rush job." But, in fact, he has proven himself to be a guy who "doesn't come to finish up." We have NO HOPE that he will fulfill his contract with us EVER, let alone by summer. My dad has Parkinson's and sunlight is known to stimulate the brain which would help him to move better, but we cannot set up the porch for him to use, because it is not finished. This contractor has great skill, but he is a liar, a thief and a con man. Every time we talk to him, he lies to us. He has our money. He talks like he cares, but his actions speak louder than his words. We definitely feel conned! The one star I give him is for his skill. But what good is skill if you don't deliver. For the record, not once did we quibble with his prices. We agreed to his prices and terms and are paid ahead by a few thousand for the HVAC system and the exterior doors that were promised but never delivered. He told us twice LAST WEEK that he was coming over to do some finish cement work while the weather is mild. Instead of coming, he sent my husband a picture of someone else's job he was supposedly working on! Today is February 6, 2012. Remember, we signed the contract in fall, 2010! You be the judge!

Provided by YP.comI have used this company for several years. From roofing to flooring and everything inbetween. They've helped me make more space by redesigning a new kitchen plan. Best of all is their pricing is competive and of good quality.
