John W. Buehler Jr. and Russell F. Buehler are owners of F. E. Buehler & Son Incorporated, a fourth generation family owned business serving Bucks, Montgomery, Lehigh, and Northampton Counties. In 1910, their great grandfather started John Wiley Well Drilling. He used a steam driven rope machine that was built in 1899. In the late 1940's, their grandfather and father, Frederick Ernest Buehler and John Wiley Buehler Sr. (Jack), took over the business and renamed it F. E. Buehler & Son. In 1979, Fred Buehler retired and his son, Jack, operated the business with the help of his wife Dorothy. In 1984, John Jr. and Russ became partners with their father. John and Russ have been certified by the National Ground Water Association (NGWA) in well drilling and pump installing for over 20 years. Russ is also certified by International Ground Source Heat Pump Association (IGSHPA).In this picture, John Wiley is running a steam driven rope machine in 1912 at Font Hill in Doylestown, PA. This machine was built in 1899.
