Family owned and operated since opening its doors in 1931, The Oar House is a well-known restaurant, bar, hotel conveniently close to the marina and boat launch. Start your annual fishing season with us for spring spoonbill snagging in March and transition to crappie, walleye, catfish and bass throughout the summer months. Providing prime access to more than 1,300 miles of shoreline, the fishing here is nothing less than great any time of the year. We offer lodging accommodations to suit any size group, from motel rooms adjacent to the restaurant or a private cabin which sleeps up to 12. The campground has full RV service, or you can sleep in your cabin cruiser in one of the marina’s slips. We look forward to your stay.

I have eaten there several times. My wife;s foor has always been good. The first time I ordered the big Prime-rib, I ordered it Medium-rare. It came to me burnt beyond recognition. All reasteaunts put out a bad meal ocassionally, so I just let it slide. Asked for a doggy bag and when we left I threw it in the dumpster. We ate ther again this last Sunday and I again ordered the $40 Prime rib, When I ordered I specifically told the waitress to keep it on the rare side. When I got it, it was Well Done....This time I sent it back and she ordered me a new one. This time I made it very clear I would like ti Rare....When my order finall came back, my wife was long since finished with her meal, and my order was now Medium at best....I put it on a doggy bag and fed it to the neighbors dog. Somebody there doesn't have a clue and my advice is to NOT order prime rib unless you like it cooked to death.
