I've bought two used cars at Country Chevrolet. I had two different salesmen, both times I think I was treated fairly and got a decent enough deal. In between those two purchases I bought a car at the Port Jervis Auto Spa and the experience was a bad one. I was treated unfairly, my questions weren't addressed, I wound up with a car I was not happy with and I felt like they took advantage of my situation after the big flood. They kept insisting I didn't know what I was wanted, and pushed me into buying a car I didn't really like, and they knew it. I won't leave a negative review for Port Jervis Auto Spa, I just don't have it in me to leave a 1 star or mean review of a place - I think it's a poor use of energy and I'd rather spend my energy on more positive experiences. Besides, there are tons of people that love to tell you about their horrible experiences, so I'll leave it to them. For me, I'm only mentioning the bad experience in order to highlight the good. After that poor purchase with Auto Spa, I went back to Country Chevy because I thought my purchase experience with them had turned out to be a much more positive one. And again, I had positive buying experience there. I'm not someone who loves to go car shopping, I don't know a lot about cars. I just know I need to safely get from point A to point B in something reliable. Country Chevrolet didn't try to talk me into spending more than I wanted to, and I felt like they were trying to find a car I'd be happy with instead of a car they'd be happy selling. I can also tell you this - I really like both vehicles I bought from them (one was an old SUV and one is a newer-used car). I don't know if this review is particularly helpful to anyone because I'm just not a car enthusiast. But maybe this can be a help to anyone else who hates car shopping. I'd recommend Country Chevrolet because my impression is they will work with you and sell you the car you actually want.
