Southwest High School serves students in grades 9 through 12. It offers academic programs in communication arts, mathematics, science and social studies. The school additionally has departments for fine arts and health and physical education. Southwest High School has an athletics department that offers a variety of sports activities, such as baseball, basketball, cheerleading, cross country, diving, softball, volleyball, and track and field. It supports several organizations that include the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA), Future Farmers of America (FFA), National Honor Society (NHS) and student council, as well as art and science clubs. The school is located in Washburn, Mo., and is a part of the Southwest R-V School District.
