This is a company of truly deplorable individuals who practice shady business tactics. A representative named Mr. Ryan, called me and asked if my school would be interested in previewing their Encyclopedia of African American History 1896-Present, and their Oxford Picture Dictionary. At no point during the conversation did Mr. Ryan inform me that these resources were being sent on a trial basis, and that the school would have to pay for them after 60 days. I just received a bill in the mail, and needless to say, I am not pleased. I called the company and spoke with a Mr. John Robinson, who informed me that he had an electronic transcript of the conversation that took place between myself and Mr. Ryan. Not only did Mr. Robinson refuse to fax me a copy of said transcript, he also refused to cancel the bill. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE!!!! They clearly have no problem cheating schools out of large sums of money needed to educate our youth.
