Established in 1970, the District of Columbia Court of Appeals resolves complaints concerning the unauthorized practices of law. The court operates through a staff of more than five associate and senior judges. It reviews judgments and final and specified interlocutory orders of other courts. The District of Columbia Court of Appeals also evaluates decisions of administrative agencies, boards and commissions of the district government. The court answers the questions of federal and state appellate courts. It analyzes proposed rules of the superior court. The District of Columbia Court of Appeals approves the rules regarding attorneys conduct and is a part of the District of Columbia Courts.
