After many years in academic medicine, she is now establishing her private practice in the Washington D.C area, but continuing to specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of allergic contact dermatitis and psoriasis as well as cosmetic dermatology. Following her residency in Dermatology, she completed a fellowship in Clinical Research and Masters in Clinical Research through a combined NIH/Duke program.Dr. Ehrlich has overseen the dermatology at the combined dermatology / rheumatology clinics while at GW. She continues to participate in and lead clinical research studies, and her current research projects focus on psoriasis, allergic contact dermatitis, and atopic dermatitis. She is active in dermatology leadership, and has been president of the DC Dermatological Society, past board member of the American Contact Dermatitis Society and past Chair of the Access to Care committee for the American Academy of Dermatology. She is a member of the Scientific Advisory Board for The Asthma and Allergy Foundation and on the Board of Directors of the Womens Dermatological Society. She has lectured both within the US and abroad on psoriasis and contact dermatitis and has published extensively on these topics.For the past 17 years, Dr. Ehrlich has been director of a referral patch testing clinic in the metro DC area and has published and lectured extensively on contact dermatitis. Her publications on contact dermatitis include recommendations on specialized trays for vaginal, stoma, and shoe dermatitis. She is an active member of the American Contact Dermatitis Society and continually adapts her testing materials as allergens evolves.She regularly uses patch testing for patients who have experienced recurrent rashes and have difficulty with wearing cosmetics or problems with medical devices.
