U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants offers community-based services to children, families, individuals and refugees. Founded in 2005, the committee serves children who arrive in the United States without parents and resources due to domestic abuse, gang violence, trafficking and poverty. It ensures that the children receive proper legal, social and health care services. U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants serves more than 500 children annually from over 30 countries through a network of nearly 1,000 attorneys. The committee has partnerships with the U.S. Committee for Refugees & Immigrants and American Immigration Lawyers Association. It operates Reception and Placement, Matching Grant, Financial Literacy, Partnership for Citizenship, Preferred Communities and Somali Bantu Programs. It maintains an office in Washington, D.C.
