Founded in 1973, the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force is a nonprofit organization formed to advance the political power of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community. The organization offers a variety of services, including training activists, organizing broad-based campaigns to defeat anti-lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender referenda and advance pro-lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender legislation.
