Based in Washington, D.C., Hyde Leadership Public Charter School operates elementary, middle and high school divisions and was founded in 1999. It is a college preparatory school that serves more than 750 students in grades kindergarten through 12. Its academic courses includes mathematics, social studies, science, English, foreign languages, and physical and health education. The school s performing arts program offers acting, dance, vocal music, writing, choreography and stage production. It provides various athletic activities, such as rugby, lacrosse, track and field, football, soccer, cross country, golf, volleyball, basketball and wrestling. Hyde Leadership Public Charter School is approved by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools.
