Do not hire Ralph period. I hired him to do some work on my house and he quoted me that it would take 3 days to complete the work. On the first day of work he didn't even show up to collect the key until I called him. The remainder of that day and the second day he did no work. At the end of the second day he told me he was waiting on a permit. He never communicated previously that he had not procured the permit even though he had weeks to do so and I paid him a deposit to get this done. The third day all he did was go into my house and drop off some supplies. On the morning of the fourth day I fired him and asked to be refunded my money. He did not refund $158 because that was the cost of the permit. Subsequently I hired another contractor who told me that the scope of work did not require a permit at all.

Don't hire Ralph. He will lie to you nonstop and cheat you out of money.
