Dr. Moghtaderi is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon with sub-specialty certification in the surgery of the hand. He specializes in treating problems of the hand, wrist, and elbow, both with and without surgery. This includes fractures, trauma, sports injuries, ligament tears, as well as common hand conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger finger, and tendinitis. He is a graduate of Yale College and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where he also completed a residency in orthopaedic surgery. He completed subspecialty fellowship training in hand and upper extremity surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Prior to joining the GW Medical Faculty Associates, Dr. Moghtaderi was Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and an Attending Physician at Montefiore Medical Center in New York City. Dr. Moghtaderi is passionate about educating the next generation of physicians and orthopaedic surgeons, and currently serves as Program Director of the GW orthopaedic surgery residency. He also has a special interest in medical informatics and the use of information technology to improve clinical practice and patient care. Dr. Moghtaderi is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and a Member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand and the District of Columbia Society for Surgery of the Hand.
