The National Museum of Natural History (NMNH) is part of the Smithsonian Institution, the world’s capital museum and research complex. The Museum is about discovery, and learning about the natural world through its unparalleled research, collections, exhibitions, and education outreach programs. Open in 1910 the green domed museum was the National Mall first Smithsonian building constructed. The Museum will extend its hours until 7:30 PM in summer.
