I've been a walk-in here for 3-4 years, primarily because of the location and price. I was a happy customer my first few visits, but have become increasingly disappointed. I request a pretty simple cut of easy hair. I honestly don't t think the stylists take the time to listen to my request before they start. Fortunately my hair is long enough and easy enough that I can fix it when I get home. But if I'm going to have to fix it, anyway, I might as well go to the $10 barber. The final straw was when today's stylist didn't even hand my a mirror so that I could inspect it myself before I left. She flashed it behind me briefly when I didn't promptly vacate my chair as she seemed to wish.

I was a walk in here over 3 years ago and have never left . I've never had a bad experience and my Hair stylist Lay is excellent. Before I started going here I was bouncing around to alot of different places and never was happy. They have good prices and do good work.

This place is always busy, with scissors flying. That's partly because it's so conveniently located in the heart of Dupont Circle, but it's also because they have some of the best hair stylists in the city (my favorite is Quincy). It is possible to just drop in without an appointment, but if you want a particular stylists, it's always best to book ahead of time. About $30 for a standard cut.
