Provided by YPmobileMy experience was great. I needed a cab at 4:30 AM to get to the airport just after the blizzard but with limited road access. The pick-up was on time and I got to the airport quickly. The car was clean inside and well cared for.

Provided by YP.comI used this cab company to go from SE DC to downtown at 5:30am. Arranged it the day before. DIspatcher was professional and repeated my address/phone back to me to ensure accuracy. Got an automated phone call 20 min. before cab arrived. Arrival was on time, even a little early. Cabbie was friendly and professional. I would definitely use Yellow Cab again.

THEY ALWAYS PICK YOU UP LATE.
THE PERSON TAKING THE RESERVATIONS DOES NOT GIVE THE CORRECT ADDRESS TO THE DISPATCHER.
THE PERSON TAKING THE RESERVATIONS TAKES AT LEAST 15-20 MINUTES TO ANSWER THE TELEPHONE. THAT IS VERY POOR SERVICE!

Provided by SuperpagesI find it utterly absurd that this citys taxi drivers are allowed to refuse credit cards and demand cash only!!!! NO ONE carries cash anymore, this is a plastic card society and DC should be on the cutting edge and forefront of what is happening in the world. No other major city in this country refuses taxi passengers the right to use a credit card!

Provided by YP.comDC has second worst traffic in the country and stuff happens when you travel. I've used this company for few years, mostly for rides to airports, mostly early morning. Their drivers know the city and they have never been late. May be I'm lucky, I live in DC, north east, there is no heavy traffic in my area in the morning. I've never have problems with this company and no doubt they deserve at least one good review.

Provided by SuperpagesI called a cab at 9 am, at 10 am I'm still at home, I called back the cab company to tell them I've been waiting and to ask how much longer are they gonna be, the lady said she couldn't give me any info on tht and I should wait for them to call back when they got a cab.......they r the WORST I would never use this cab service ever again

Provided by YP.comI called Friday afternoon, February 18th, to secure a cab for a Saturday early morning trip to the airport. On Saturday morning, when the taxi failed to arrive, I called again. And despite repeated assurances that the driver was on the way and/or near my house, he or she never arrived and I missed my flight.
I actually missed the entire trip and have incurred $75 in change fees from the airline.
I expected a much higher level of service from the company, and I am quite disappointed. If they had simply told me that they would be unable to deliver me to the airport or that they needed more than a day's notice, I would have made other plans. Instead, I have lost a trip that cannot be repeated and time that cannot be regained.

Provided by SuperpagesThey should lose their license to do business. College daughter booked a cab the night before to take her to train station. They never came, and it was impossible to get through on the phone. She missed her train and had to pay extra for the next one.

Provided by SuperpagesTerrible service, extremely annoying automated system that answers their phone. Minimum 10-15 minute wait to speak to a dispatcher. I booked a taxi for 6 am, got a call (from a machine) at 5:45 to tell me my cab had arrived, walked out my door at 5:55 to find my cab had vanished. Still 5 mins before my booking. Old equipment, dirty cabs, terrible drivers ... that was the last straw. Won't use them again.

Provided by SuperpagesThe WORST customer service I have EVER encountered. It is a wonder that they are still in business. I have had to deal with them 3 times in the last two months, and each encounter has been problematic and frustrating. I am now researching the customer service ratings of other companies in the area. When you call Yellow Cab of DC, expect the operators to make you feel as if you have interrupted more important business. They are rude, unprofessional, and not at all cooperative. Call them if you want to be talked to as if you were an annoyance and an idiot. Also call them if you want the driver to get lost and arrive 15 minutes late. Otherwise go with another company and hope Yellow Cab of DC goes out of business.
