Provided by YP.comMy husband and I went for lunch the other day. I have to say it was quite tasty. The sausage and broccoli rabe was fantastic! My husband has never been a fan, but he ate a nice size plate, which he thought was very good. They also put a piece of crusty garlic bread under the broc. rabe which was OUT OF THIS WORLD!! I had the mushroom and swiss burger which was VERY juicy. My husband had the ravioli's which were also very good (a little too much basil in the sauce, I thought, but very good). But overall really good food! The ambiance is nice and cozy. Also, it was very clean (which I appreciate)We would really love to go again for dinner. Reasonably priced (we also used our restaurant.com gift certificate) All in all, good eats and a nice lunch outing with my husband! :)

Provided by YP.comWe thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Casa Bella. We found the food to be terrific and the service could not be better. Our waitress, Kellie, was very attentive and knowledgeable. We are definitely going back to Casa Bella in the future!

Provided by YP.comAfter reading the other reviews, I was a bit confused. The place I ate at last night for my birthday was awesome! There was no music, just quiet conversation and the decor is muted and tasteful. The light was perfectly dim to set a quiet ambiance. The owner seemed kind of harried but our server Kelley was genuine and delightful. The menu is straight forward Italian ranging from vegetarian dishes to pasta to fish and beef. I had stuffed shrimp and they were great and a generous portion; the vegetables and potatoes served alongside were tender and tasty. My Mom had scallops that were like delicious pillows made of seafood! Our drinks were amazing, we both had cosmos that were the perfect balance of vodka and fruit juices. Maybe too strong for some but perfect for us! I would totally go back and I'm glad the location isn't empty as so many places in Waterbury are.

Provided by YP.comAs my user name implies I am a Chef, retired. We went there NYE and all I can say is Good Luck!!. The meal was tasty and portions good but the wait staff had no clue. We received our apps and meal at the same time. Luckily as we were informed by our server we were the last to get the lobster tail. That was the main draw that evening on the menu. To run out of your one major special at 7;00 is just poor planning. Also by 7:30 I noticed the salads being served on a plate no bigger than a saucer. I think lettuce was getting low. Oh and no choc mouse, ran out.Too bad the East End could use a good family owned spot. My wife and I were entertained all evening with the hectic pace and out of control host.
Go back sure we are going tonight, just don`t expect an evening out at the waldolf.

Provided by YP.comFirst of all I want this place to succeed. I was there on Xmas Eve and early NYE. The food I had was good and there was plenty. The renovations look great. Unfortunately the staff, however well intentioned, were overmatched. Disorganized, uninformed and unprofessional did not make me want to stay and enjoy the restaurant. The music was too loud and sounded like mind control. It made me just want to finish my meal and get out. Given that the food was good, I hope that they can overcome their shortcomings. Good Luck!!

Provided by YP.comThe restaurant definitely has some potential however there are major issues with the management. The management team did not have a handle on the kitchen . The restaurant was running a five course meal special. Tables waited an extremely long time for their meals . Food choices were limited as they ran out of items early into the evening. Tables were not served in order. At one point a customer got up and served himself his own coffee. Oh did I mention that no silverware was placed on the table. The manager was extremely apologetic however when asked if he was the owner he said no to only hear him tell another table he was the owner. There was also an older man walking around all night doing nothing only to find out later he was a consultant. The first four courses were great however we left the last course of the meal on our plates. Casa Bella lose the consultant and add to the kitchen staff.

Provided by YP.comWhat a little "gem" in Waterbury! From the cosmopolitan decor to the really wonderful food and wine we found a real treat in Casa Bella. First of all their menu is full of traditional favorites. But the surprises just keep coming...quality reigns here from the seafood stuffing with real chunks of shrimp and scallops in a buttery light breading to the twist on tender calamari ordered with Gorgonzola and peppers...wow! Homemade ravioli and the red pasta sauce is like Sunday at Grandma's.
And the wines! This list has the majority of bottles under $30!!! And they are excellent.
We weren't rushed and just had a wonderful time...even the coffee was excellent. We can't wait to see what happens when this place really gets it's legs...then again, I imagine there will be a wait to get in! Bravo Casa Bella!
