ITW Highlands is the drawn metals division of its parent company, Illinois Toolworks. Highlands manufactures a variety of parts used in applications, including gas masks, air bag components, engine transmissions, sprinkler systems, writing instrument components, lock and hardware components and oxygen sensors. Its capabilities include failure mode and effect analysis, 3D modeling, chemical analysis testing, sound and vibration analysis, weather durability testing, a full service metallurgical lab, an in-house tool room, CAD and CAM, wire and conventional EDM, in-die sensors, and a full-service machine rebuilding shop. The entire Drawn metals division is QS9000/ISO9002 certified according to industry standards. The company is headquartered in Waterbury, Conn., and operates additional facilities in California, Michigan and United Kingdom.
