Nice sales guy but bad sales practices

Found a nice car and they wouldn't negotiate the price. They said they do Internet marketing so their prices aren't flexible even though I found the exact same car at another nearby dealership for $2000 less... Waste of time

Buyer beware! In March 2016, we purchased a used Civic from Feldman Waterford. While inspecting the vehicle, we were assured numerous times by the salesman that the vehicle had been thoroughly checked by their technicians, and that we could be confident that the car was in “good shape” and there were no safety issues or concerns. Within 5 minutes of taking delivery of the vehicle, a serious problem occurred. Any time the cruise control was set, the vehicle accelerated in an uncontrolled manner, and the only way it could be stopped was to turn the ignition off. We immediately contacted the dealer. After numerous exchanges, the position of the dealer was that uncontrolled acceleration is not a safety issue and that the dealer would not take responsibility to repair the problem. Their position was that any used vehicle is sold “as is”, even if it is unsafe or has a serous defect that was present at the time of sale.

Bottom line - this dealer does not take any responsibility.

I found a used car on Cars.com, contacted the dealership and spoke with Dontrell De'Vaughn. He told me the vehicle went up for sale yesterday. I asked if it was still available he said yes. I told him I would be driving an hour and a half to see it, he said it was there and not sold yet. I told him I was on the way. My husband and I both took off work and drove there immediately. We arrived and were told, sorry that car was sold this morning. Really? Because as of 11:36 a.m. it was not and you sent me a car fax on the vehicle. I asked to speak to the manager. Don came back and said he's sorry for the mistake but he has been told to "make it right". I again asked to speak with the manager. The manager did not come out. This dealership will say anything to get you in the door so they can "make it right". As if I'm going to reward their lying by giving them my business. Don't waste your time!

I visited this dealership with my granddaughter on Saturday June 14,2015. We traveled 4 hours to look at a 2007 Chevy Aveo L's that this dealership advertised on Craigslist. Very misleading ad. Our a salesperson we Peter Sullivan. Never in my life have I met a more rude salesperson. We took the car for a ride and were less than 5 minutes down the road and the car started smelling like burning rubber or like it was over getting. We got back to the dealership and my granddaughter tried to open the hood and could not touch it it was so hot. I told Peter Sullivan to open the hood and he couldn't touch it either. He said " I'll have to get my mechanec to do this. We never saw a mechanic. The car also had duct tape covering a rusted through spot near the bottom. It had been in a front end collision, possibly a rollover because on the inside you could see where a dent in the roof had came through to the headliner. Peter continued to show us junk cars. I believe he thought he was dealing with a stupid Grandmother and her Granddaughter. How wrong he was. He did peak my greadaughters interest with a Honda Civic. She called her dad to help her make the decision. Her dad told her what she needed to look for and questions to ask. One thing he suggested we do is ask to have the car put on a hoist so we could inspect underneath the car. They told us they didn't have anyone there to operate the hoist. Bullcrap!!! When my granddaughter asked Peter Sullivan to speak to her dad on the phone Peter refused saying he had nothing to say. I'm sure he didn't have any thy to say because he knew he was going to be speaking to a man who knows his cars. He refused to speak to him. Rude, rude, rude!!!. The engine light was on in the car also which indicated an issue. We asked Peter to put the car on the computer machine that would indicate the problem. He told us his mechanic had already done that but was unable to read the code. By the way I don't know how his mechanic could have done this as Peter Sullivan told us repeatedly throughout the day that he didn't have a mechanic on duty. We asked for the code so we could google it and said he couldn't give it to us and we would be unable to google it. I have never been treated like I am so stupid in my life. We asked him for the Carfax and he gave it to us saying come on ladies you have half an hour to make a decision. He obviously wanted to get home to his cocktails more than he wanted to sell a car. We made him an offer of $2600 out the door. This was a more than reasonable offer for a 2004 Honda Civic with obvious issues. He came back with $3000 out the door. Ridiculous!!! When we refused his price he was done and not willing to talk further about the car. He shook my granddaughters hand and said have a nice day and rushed us out the door. Never even said Thank you for driving 200 plus miles and a 4 hour plus ride down and Stoll facing another 4 hour plus ride back home. He was so ready to get home to his cocktails he wouldn't give us a chance to Thank him for his time. I don't know if I could have thanked him anyway. He was so rude and unprofessional all day, trying to sell us junk. I wish we would have followed my instinct to walk out after the first piece of junk but, I wanted my granddaughter to find a car. I will not even give this Dealership 1 star and I suggest if you ever go there to buy a car I Pray that you don't get Peter Sullivan for a salesperson. He couldn't sell candy to a child. By the way the odometer on the Honda Civic said 110xxx on our ride home my granddaughter looked closely at the Carfax and the actual miles were close to 169,000. Which sister turned the odometer back. I tell you right now Peter Sullivan found out he was not dealing with a stupid Grandma and Granddaughter. Beware of this Dealership and more so beware of Peter Sullivan.. Sincerely and disappointed. Grandma

Leased a new 2015 Elantra from James and he is amazing. My lease price is outstandingly low and I am more than pleased with the car and service. I am very happy that I went with Feldman and I would definitely recommend James because of his absolutely amazing service and he was very easy to contact!

In October 2013, I purchased a used 2006 Nissan Xterra from Feldman Chevrolet (located on Grand River, Novi). The Sales Manager and the sales rep provided an excellent service, they were honest and punctual in their service deliverance. The xterra was spotless both inside and outside, Under the hood was clean as a whistle. This experience made me to select Feldman Hyundai, Waterford when I resolved to purchase another xterra. Oh, boy did I make a mistake:

1. Salesman had no knowledge of the product he was selling to me. Another Salesman

had to show him a compartment at the top of the SUV.

2. promised me a 101 inspection report, he failed to deliver.

3. Car was not ready when I showed up to pick it up. Had to make another trip.

4. Made two trips from Taylor, Mi to Waterford....a phone call from Salesman would have

helped.

5. Xterra was full of cat or dog hair and the detail work has a lot to be desired...very

unhealthy.

6, Salesman did not know car was involved in accident...,CarFast clearly indicates there

was front end collision. When I mentioned it to him, he went back to find out. Mind you

the accident happened when the xterra was in the possession of the Dealer. Salesman

came back and said nobody knows what happened...it might have been a minor

accident...pure incompetency or a "story"

Very disappointing and regretfull customer service from Doug. I did appreciate the ride from Taylor to Waterford.

Awesome experience here! I hate negotiating with sleezy salesman because I never feel like I got a good deal in the end. Here they provided me with all the knowledge I was looking for and saved me a whole lot of headache from shopping around.

I had a very poor experience with this dealership. I purchased a 2011 certified used vehicle. I did not get a chance to test drive the vehicle because the vehicle needed to be inspected first. I was told a thorough inspection would take place and I would be notified if there were any issues. I received the vehicle and there were numerous problems with the vehicle. Matt the service manager claimed a complete inspection was done. Based on the numerous issues with the vehicle there was no way a complete inspection was done. The warranty covered just some of the issues. I may have not bought the vehicle if I knew there were some many problems. I would not recommend this dealership at all. Herman M
