Hoover Middle School is an educational institution that offers a variety of learning and recreational opportunities for more than 790 students in grades six through eight. It offers instruction in math, social studies, language arts, reading and science. Hoover Middle School organizes various athletic activities that include football, basketball, volleyball and wrestling. It provides transportation, health screening and food services. The school employs over 50 teachers and approximately 40 support staff members. The school operates culture, yearbook and photography clubs. It offers an after-school program and has partnerships with Airgas and the Covenant Medical Center. Hoover Middle School is a part of Waterloo Community Schools, which governs several elementary, middle and high schools.
