Provided by YP.comThis was a nice and clean place to eat. Good food. Had a real hamburger, it wasn't frozen and homemade onion rings. It's real close to the hotel and the shopping mall and the casino. Been in a few times when in town--Broasted chicken is great too.

Not a real fancy restaurant but who cares when you get great food! The staff was friendly and it's a very homey place to eat when your on the road and wanting good down home cooking! I will be back!

We were in the Waterloo area on a business trip, and were staying at the Holiday Inn Express. The front desk attendant suggested we stroll across the parking lot for dinner, taking us to the back door of Southtown. We rang the bell for entry, and pulled up a seat at the bar. The bartender (Joel) recommended a few items (the chicken and the onion rings), we chose the onion rings... they were oh so good! The service was great, and the atmosphere was friendly. Even though we were apparently from out of town the staff and the regulars made us feel right at home. Highly recommended!

Just wanted to mention the grilled tenderloins are excellent as well as the breakfast. Stayed in Waterloo for a few weeks and ate here numerous times.

Best Broasted chicken in town. Tenderloins and onion rings are awesome. Close enough to walk from hotel.
