The VGM Group began as Van G. Miller & Associates in 1986 when Van G. Miller decided to help independent home medical equipment providers stay that way. The company negotiates contracts with major HME manufacturers that allow its members to be competitive with national chains. VGM has more than 1,600 members in nearly 2,800 locations. As membership grew, so did the need for member services. More divisions were formed to meet those needs that include VGM Insurance, VGM Financial Services and VGM Technologies. With the expansion of managed care, HOMELINK, its managed care division, was organized to provide third-party payer referrals to VGM members. The company also includes the Orthotic and Prosthetic Group of America, U.S. Rehab, VGM Management, Homecare Providers Group, VGM Group Services Canada, vgm creative and VGM Golf, the first company not related to home care. The VGM Group is headquartered in Waterloo, Iowa.
