Have been doing business with them for 7 years. I have not had any problems. I love their budget plan and its benefits. Everyone at the office has been helpful and professional. The delivery guys are so nice. I even have a fence they have to navigate over and they never complain. (I have since put in a gate for them)

I wish there was a lower rating than 1... I will never use these people again. If you have not noticed the theme of their customer service being rude and unprofessional, you'd have to be blind. Take your business somewhere else where they will treat you with respect.

I had them come out and replace my propane tanks during the summer so they were ready to go for the season. I turned on my system for the first time and immediately smelled gas coming from one of the tanks. I called to try and get someone out to fix it and inquired about replacing the regulator at the same time. They wanted $125 for labor and over $100 for the regulator which is over priced for less than 30 minutes of work when they were already going to be at my house fixing the leaking tank. When I suggested his price was too high, that's when the fun began. He IMMEDIATELY became condescending, insulting and out right RUDE. He had the gall to ask what kind of work I do, insulted it and then said I wouldn't understand his pricing because I'm not an entrepreneur like him. After he made me listen to him tell me how expensive his insurance, labor, trucks and other costs were, I tried to interject and just request him fix the leaking tank they installed. He would not even let me get in a word, insulted me again and hung up.

CONSUMERS BEWARE - Unless you like being treated like crap, take your hard earned money elsewhere.

I had purchased my home in April. When purchasing the home as part of the agreement with the seller and their listing agent the propane in the tank was to be sold with the home. I have it in the selling disclosure form and in the legal purchase agreement stating this. When I took possession of the home in April I called Propane People to let them know i was the new owner of the home. I gave them my name, address, and phone number. They asked me for my social security number as well. I asked why they would need this information. They said so I could get a contract made up with them. I told them I was unsure of what company I would be using but I would get back to them. The tank was 75% full still so to me that means I have until the tank is empty to decide what company I would go with. The propane in the tank was paid for so I owed them nothing. 6 months later they came and took their tank with my propane in it. The tank still had 75% full because the only thing my home uses propane for is heat. I did not need heat until now and ironically that is when they came and got the tank. I called the company and their employee Bridget had gotten rude with me and accused me of possibly stealing their tank. Their tank is worth nothing to me. In my opinion it is an ugly eye sore so why would i steal it? How is it stealing when hey new it was at my house with my property in the tank. I have been arguing with this company for days now so I have gone for days now without heat in my home. They are refusing to give me the propane back and are fusing to write me a check for the propane they stole from me. I sent them the purchase agreement for legal proof that the home and the propane is legally mine. Their reply was we are going to write a check to the old home home owner. This makes zero sense because he no longer owns the propane. They said they are doing this because i refused to give them my social security number. I don't see how or why I should have to give them that if I am not wanting to have a contract with this company. I had an amount of propane to decide what I was going to do but because I wouldn't tell them right then and there they took it upon themselves to decide for me and stealing my property of the propane. This is theft and it is illegal. The employee Bridget took it upon herself to put in their notes that i was going with a company named "carter" I have no idea where this came from and what company this is. She admitted to just making it up and adding it in their notes even though I never said that. This company is not ethical. I need to get paid for the propane that was stolen from my property or the propane tank with my propane in it to be returned to my house admittedly. If it is not by next week 10/29/2015 I will go to my lawyer and be filing a police report. I am tired of the run around I am getting this company is no longer responding to my emails. I will get what belongs to me back. I will not ever suggest this company to anyone. I would never wish this upon anyone to go through. For my first time buying a home this should be a fun happy experience and this company has made it horrible.

good price, bad customer service

I decided to go with them because of their outstanding price. however, they lied to me about when I would get the stuff. They told me I would get it on Monday. I never got it so I called this morning (tuesday) and they said that they never told me monday and I was not on the list. Not only did they lie to me, they called me a lier. How wrong is that?
