Provided by SuperpagesI have been a visitor and camper to Black Rock State Park for many years and continue to come back because I enjoy coming to this area very much. Black Rock is truly a natural treasure nestled in between some very busy city areas such as Waterbury and Hartford. This is a State park and has had many improvements over the last few years and is continually being worked on to make it even better. It has a large area for people to walak on, play volley ball, soccer, softball, kite flying etc. as well as numerous picnic areas, relaxing areas, and walking paths and trails. There are campsites for camping season and a fishing pond which is stocked regualrly by the CT DEEP. The Rangers are very knowledgeable, friendly, helpful people who are dedicated IN ASSURING THAT the safety and well being of all coming to visit is manintained and will enforce the STATE posted no alcohol rules. The office and maintance staff are alsovery kind, friendly and helpful. I thank all there for their dedication!
