The Atrium School is a community-based school that serves students in kindergarten through sixth grade. Its academic curriculum includes language arts, mathematics, science, history and culture. Additionally, the school conducts classes in Spanish and health and physical education. The Atrium School operates an arts department that offers a range of activities, including drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, dance, instrumentation, performance, singing and poetry. The school has been operational for more than 20 years. The school organizes an open assembly on a weekly basis that is attended by special visitors and guests. It offers a special program, Facing Our Dragons, for elementary students to help them face their fears with courage. The Atrium School is located in Watertown, Mass.
