Had a horrible experience with this preschool. The teachers are amazing but the owner and operations take advantage of parents who most of them are from Japan. Business is ran in a very sketchy way. Some examples:
- waiting list fee: they will take waiting list fees that says “first come first served” however when there is an opening they do not reach out to those who were were listed first. There are many who never got in although they paid the wait list.
- monthly payment. They threaten parents that they will kick out students even if they paid already (and check was cashed) saying they never received the payment. I’ve seen them kicking out students for false claims (eg. they never received medical records etc) once they receive advanced payments and they don’t return the payment.
- threats. The owner claims that she has “friends” in medical and legal space and threats the parents that if any action is taken she can “destroy” them. She also claims that she knows the Japanese community well that if any actions are taken against the place she can hurt their reputation in the Japanese community.

I had a couple of instances with their money threats (“pay double or we kick you out”) so we left the daycare after 1 year. It’s very unfortunate since my child loved the place and the teachers were great. The owner is extremely unethical. Beware before you enroll and raise voice if you are wait listed because the chances are you won’t get enrolled and won’t see that money back.
