Watertown-Mayer Middle School provides educational opportunities for students in grades six through eight. The middle school sponsors various sporting activities that include baseball, basketball, cross country, football, golf, gymnastics, soccer, swimming, track and field, volleyball and wrestling. It also encourages student participation in various clubs, such as outdoors club, beginning guitar, odyssey of the mind, chess club, knowledge bowl, weightlifting, juggling and yearbook. The school offers numerous exploratory day courses, including fishing, scrapbook making, model rockets and snow tubing. Watertown-Mayer Middle School also operates a student council that organizes and supports several student activities, such as dances and activity nights, as well as school pride and community service events. The school is based in Watertown, Minn.
