All in all a five star place to take your dog for daycare or any pet for grooming............My "baby" has been going to daycare and getting groomed there for several years now, they always ask what I want for a grooming and are so good with any pet - I have watched them in fascination..........PS NO FLEAS in all this time, wonder where that lady picked them up??

Took in 2 dogs a 5lb poodle and a 16lb havapoo. They did great cuts on both dogs unfortunately the dogs came home with fleas. They are treated monthly with prescription treatment and still got them while there. Take your chances since they do a good cut. But you may come home with fleas!

I have a miniature american eskimo named Liam. He is a energetic, happy, and sometimes challenging dog. He and I have bonded very strongly and, being a companion breed, he doesnt like to be away from me or my wife. All that changed when he met Sharon, Tracy(Liam's mom away from mom), and the rest of the Best Friends team. The care and love that they show Liam everytime we drop him off has kept us coming back as often as we can afford to, which now that I mention it, they have very fair rates. You could not put a price on the service that they provide. They offer me peace of mind when I am at work or otherwise away. Both the daycare and boarding service are top notch. I am constantly impressed with how much love and attention Liam gets everytime he goes. When we pull into their driveway, Liam immediately knows where he is and gets really excited. The second the car door opens he is pulling to get inside and see everyone. I am a Soldier at Fort Drum and will be moving to Hawaii in the coming months. Literally the only thing we will miss about the north country is Best Friends. I cant say enough good things about them. They hold a special place in the heart of the dog that holds a special place in mine. It has been a pleasure to do business with them. If you need a groomer, boarder, or daycare for your pet, there is no substitute for Best Friends.

I have been doing business with Best Friends for over ten years with my three long haired cats. Two of these cats can be quite a challenge, but over the years Sharon has been very patient and gently with them. To sum it up, I cannot imagine going anyplace else with the service I receive here. Thank You.

Sorry someone had to put a fake review on here. The staff is great. The place is clean. Yes busy because they do a great job. Countryside vet clinic and Animal Drs to name a few recommend this place. People can stop by anytime just to check them out. If you have any questions don't hesitate to call or better yet stop by and check the place out.

My corgi is practically like my child, and upon being stationed at Fort Drum, I chose to try out Best Friends...and i couldn't be more pleased with that decision. The staff is excellent and I knew I could trust them with my pet. They always seemed really happy to see my dog and I when we entered the place.. that was always a great feeling. My corgi always came home smelling super awesome and very happy! Regular grooming time was about an hour to two and a half hours and they were also very prompt about letting me know when to pick up my dog, which I very much appreciated . It does get a bit humid in the place, but that never really bothered me...as long as my dog is in good company and unharmed.. those things are more important to me. There are a lot of good points to make about this place and felt a bit sad having to part with this establishment getting stationed somewhere else. I highly recommend this place. I started using this place 2 years ago after trying several other places in the area that were also close to Ft. Drum. They are the best hands down. I have a rat terrier and a bichon. They do the best groom job. My dogs have never looked or smelled better. My dogs are not kennel trained and freak if put in a kennel. They go in the daycare program when I drop them off for grooming. They know when we are getting close cause they jump all over me in excitement and pull at their leashes when we get there. I had actually asked my vet for a referral to someplace since I was having trouble finding someplace good. They recommended Best Friends. It was a very good choice and I now recommend them to my family and friends!!

We have been taking our 2 dogs there for over 5 years. We have always been very pleased with Sharon and her staff. They love and care for our pets while we are away. They take them into their home. I have been there. A huge yard for the dogs to play in. I would not take my dogs anywhere else. I would recommend them and have to everyone.

I used their services for nearly two years with my old Vizsla Denali. No frills here, just folks that love dogs to death. They always took excellent care of my old man and cried with us when he passed. I'd hate using anyone else.
