Poor customer service. I have been buying cosmetics for my daughter there for a couple years, and I have found that most associates are indifferent, even unfriendly. They don't seem to be trained to be helpful and courteous. My last visit to buy some birthday cosmetics for my daughter was the last straw when there were four associates wandering the store and the ones I talked to, including the cashier, were annoyed and unfriendly. Not a fan.

The brand variety here is good; there are several lines here that are unavailable at Sephora and other retailers. The selection of lower-cost products is wide ranging and satisfactory. Unlike Sephora, Ulta carries many more hair tools and hair care lines, which is helpful for people who don't want to have to trudge downtown to the mall to pick up an overpriced Keratin oil or shampoo at Trade Secret or the like. All in all, the product offering at this location is large enough that anyone can find what they need. The employees are usually helpful to a certain degree, though it's difficult to be an expert in one line when you have so many to memorize and so many to study up on (I feel you, trust me....).



I like to shop at Ulta because it's nearby; Sometimes the girls are very sweet and very helpful; Ashley (petite blonde, very kind!) in particular has helped me out on numerous occasions. It's hard to do this job and be that chipper, that late on a Friday night when all you want to do is go home. There have been a few instances where a couple of the employees have seemed to be looking down their nose at some of the customers (myself included -- I was dressed comfortably for my first day off in 3 weeks and my hair hadn't been washed that morning... so sue me!), but all in all, it's a nice shop.



I'd recommend it to a friend.
