I had my dash cluster go out on my van. I looked up how to repair it on YouTube and proceeded to remove it from the vehicle. What needed to be done was the back connectors needed to be sodded. So I took it to Firestone to ask them if they could sodder it for me. But ,they got an attitude with me and said that they would've never wasted their time and just replaced it with a new one.Keep in mind that I've been a long-term customer spending hundreds of dollars.

Between them charging $94 dollars an hour and a brand-new piece costing about $800, I saved myself over $1000.

I also had a guy at a parts place tell me not to even try. Well guess what? I did and I successfully repaired it. It's been about a year now and is still working great.

I put new brakes on with a new caliper and I'm getting a hot brakes smell.

I called to make an appointment with Firestone and found them extremely unhelpful. I told them exactly what was going on and they could even give me an ideal. They just proceeded to tell me how dangerous it is if your brakes fail and I needed to have them looked at. They are thinking $$$

I think what when I call a mechanic shop that they should be would give me an ideal of what's going on!!

So now I have an appointment with Fleet Farm who only charges $69 dollars an hour. However, I called to make an appointment with them and a woman answered. When I told her what was going on, right away I got an answer without even asking! No offense against women I am a woman but if a woman can tell me what's going on as soon as I tell them what's going on with my brakes, than the mechanics of Firestone sure as hell should be able to.
