Established in 1910, Grant Elementary School provides learning opportunities to more than 200 students in kindergarten through grade five. Its academic curriculum includes several subjects, such as math, art, science, social studies and physical education. The school provides Title I, English as a Second Language, reading recovery and learning disabilities instruction to children with special needs. It offers opportunities for parents to participate in the academic, social and emotional growth of their children through a parent-teacher organization and site council. The school participates in several special activities, such as community assemblies, families and children together nights, Red Ribbon week, winter concerts and art shows. Lactated in Wausau, Wis., Grant Elementary School is a part of the Wausau School District.
