This review is mainly for Karen, the sweet receptionist who went above and beyond, but also for Dr. Lewis and his wife. When my appointment was originally set, it was over a month out, which gave me more anxiety than it should have but this appointment was either going to make or break further treatment at other offices. A day or two later, Karen called me to advise there had been a cancelation, and she remembered my situation. I was able to be seen the next day. I didn't expect that of her, she just went ahead and did it. I hung up thinking what a gem she must be to Dr. Lewis. Talking to her in the office yesterday calmed my nerves, which are frayed from other situations I'm dealing with and I'm really not myself right now. I was bummed with I got called back for my exam. She explained what was covered by insurance, giving me the sheet with her notes on it. No one has ever done that before. Dr. Lewis and his wife made me laugh with their banter back and forth, but Dr. Lewis was all business during the exam, which I appreciated. While a lot of information was given to me and I really didn't process it until I was back at the office, it was explained so I could understand it. Dr. Lewis also gave me his notes, which has also never happened before. While I'm upset at the situation which was caused by another office, thinking about it more today I know I will be in good hands with Dr. L. performing the surgeries. I just wanted others to know that this office is the real deal, if people are trying to make a decision to become a patient here. They are the real deal and they do care.
