Not happy about Manpower of Wausau. I was unemployed from work for a long time. I already signed up with about a half dozen temp agencies, but thought I would give Manpower a try. I took all of their tests, I passed everything they gave me. Light Industrial work, My Word skills were expert level, Excell skills were at the expert level, typing 100+ WPM, computer, technical skills were expert. I was the PERFECT match for a position they had to fill. I was very excited to hear that. I had two phone interviews/screenings, but never heard anything. After 6 weeks of waiting for an interview from this company, they told me the position was put on hold. I understand things happen, and business objectives change. I wasn't overly upset with that. It was after that incident where Manpower blew me off. I was calling them weekly for work, and was scolded that I was calling too much. I needed to cut down my calls to every other week. The people working there had a completely different tone in their voice that I was more of an annoyance. When an industrial position opened up in my area, and Manpower was DESPERATE to fill these positions. I never received a single phone call or e-mail, despite that I was calling them weekly/bi-weekly for work. Manpower was very nice to me in the beginning, but they are just like every other temp agency I dealt with. Big promises and no results. My experience with Manpower gave me high hopes, but ended up being a complete waste of time.
